 Buford Highway Farmers Market is delighted to bring New Orleans’s native Lisa Rochon, Chef, to our Market to present Louisiana cooking demonstrations inspired from our store’s vast selections and her rich cultural and culinary upbringing.   Perhaps you know her as of late, Chef Rochon is often found at demonstrations for local farmers markets where her boundless enthusiasm and instinctive cooking wows her audience. “How do you think of these beautiful, unusual combinations?” they always ask.   “It just comes naturally to me” the Chef allows whilst crafting, on the fly, alluring creations with an amazing variety of  “whatever’s at hand” and always with her Cajun/Creole heritage shining through. While Chef Lisa is Louisiana at her core she has over the years has absorbed many influences from around the world making her cooking the magic that enchants her audiences.  Chef Rochon also operates “Cuisine” a farm to table to home prepared food firm.  Her other company, Lisa Rochon Ltd., creates memorable events and inviting lifestyle environments for its clients.  Both ventures focus on delighting clients and guest with the possibilities of food, beverage, and the endless flavor combinations that can be experienced.    Lisa prides herself on creating menus that reflect her love of food and the endless possibilities of flavor combination.  The use of the freshest seasonal ingredients, from New Orleans and her French heritage enhance her artistic style.    A graduate of the University of New Orleans, she holds a BS from the college of business in Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism.  She has over 38 years experience in the restaurant and foodservice industry and has owned and operated restaurants, a catering firm, consulted on various restaurants and conducted public and private cooking classes in New Orleans, New York and Atlanta.  Over the years, Lisa has made appearances cooking on local news shows and chef demonstrations as well as featured in the food sections of local newspaper and magazines.     She invites all she encounters to ‘Excite Your Taste Buds’                404 – 641 – 5118
